Price :

Korean Singo Pears are crunchy, juicy and sweet. Extreme care is taken while growing these pears; the outcome is a clean, blemish-free fruit. Unlike Western pears, Korean Singo Pears are round and large in size. The skin of the pear has a light, brownish-yellow tint while the inner flesh is white. This variety is cultivated to have an extremely thin skin, which is sweet, not bitter.

Korea Singo pears are often called “apple pears” due to their appearance and texture. Korea Singo pears are not a hybrid of the two fruits.
Korea Singo pears have a high water content, which means they are best for fresh eating and not recommended for baking.
Korea Singo pears tend to be large in size and bruise easily. They can last for weeks if stored in a cold and dry place.

The Taste

Like apples, Korea Singo pears taste best when they ripen on the tree and are ready to eat as soon as they are harvested. Yum! That means no waiting for this fruit to be ready for consumption, which is the case for so many others. In fact, they do not soften and get sweeter as Western pears do, so you do not have to delay eating them at all.
Korea Singo pears are hard, crisp, sweet, slightly tart at the core and very juicy. Because of their high water content, which makes them low calorie, they are not generally cooked into pies or preserved into jams or jellies. In the Korean home, they are peeled and enjoyed raw as a dessert or a snack, are eaten raw in salads and used as a sweetener in the cooking and marinating process.
